Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) is a locally owned and managed healthcare system based in Johnson City, Tennessee.  
 
Today, MSHA is integrated both vertically and horizontally and is the largest regional healthcare system with 14 hospitals. MSHA provides an integrated, comprehensive continuum of care to people in 29 counties in Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Each hospital is fully accredited, most by The Joint Commission.

Events - 2010 11th Annual Awards Banquet
Thursday, June 17, 2010, Southwest VA Higher Education Ctr. Abingdon, VA

The Southwestern Virginia Technology Council’s annual gala is scheduled for Thursday, June 17 at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center on the campus of Virginia Highlands Community College, Abingdon. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with reception and tech expo, followed by live music, dinner, door prizes, a world renowned keynote speakers, and culminates with the presentation of the highly touted SWVTC High Tech awards for 2009.

 

"Wow! What an event this will be”, said Jeff Webb, President of the Southwestern Virginia Technology Council.  “To commemorate our 11 year anniversary of expanding technology use in Southwest Virginia, we have planned an excellent evening that you will not want to miss.  Harrison "Jack" Schmitt, an American geologist, a former NASA astronaut, University Professor and U. S. Senator for one year will deliver our keynote address this year. We are very excited to have such a celebrity join us in presenting our awards.  Local delegates, as well as many state, regional, and national technology leaders will be with us for this event.  We invite you to come and find out how SWVTC is promoting math and science through space travel as well as Lego First Robotics in Virginia.  A new category of awards which was introduced last year has added a lot of excitement, promoting Green Technologies in our region.  There will be great food, live music, interesting company; something for everyone to enjoy."

 

 

Awards will be presented in seven categories: High Tech Innovation in Economic Development, High Tech Small Business and Entrepreneur, High Tech in Education, High Tech in Government, High Tech in Innovation, the 2009 President's Award,  and a new category for 2009; High Tech in Green Technology.

 

 

Individual tickets are available for $90.Corporate table sponsorship, which includes six seats and recognition at the banquet, is $500.  Exhibit space is $200, or may be combined with a table sponsorship for $500. Event and Platinum sponsorships are available.
