Our academic programs include both exceptionally strong majors and offerings that are unique in the region. To build on this foundation and keep pace with educational change in the next decade, UVa-Wise has identified several ways to enhance its curriculum, including greater opportunities for student research and international study. The College will continue to expand its new program in software engineering to provide opportunities for graduates who are in increasingly high demand. To expose more students to the world beyond Southwest Virginia, an endowment will be established to support foreign study experiences. And to ensure that faculty and students benefit from advances, an investment will be made in updated classrooms with multimedia teaching techniques
